This Pincushion is Also a Caddy for Small Tools
It’s Great for Hand Sewing and More!
This pincushion caddy is so handy for keeping small tools together when moving around your workspace. It makes it so convenient to take your most important small stitching tools with you, whether it’s from the sewing machine to the cutting table or to the living room to sit and sew.
The top, of course, is a nicely sized pincushion. Pockets around the sides are great for clips, scissors, and other small tools and notions you like to keep at hand.
The example was made with linen and a cotton print. However, it’s easy to imagine the pincushion in a variety of quilting fabrics for a bit of a scrappy look. Or stick with the two-fabric theme, using two prints that work nicely together.
Stuff the pincushion with polyfill or use crushed walnut shells, clean sand, or fine steel wool to help keep pins and needles sharp.
The completed pincushion, designed by Tiina from Tiki London, is a 4” circle.
