Unexpected Colors Make a Lovely Quilt
Play with Color to Create Your Own Special Version!
This pretty blue and yellow quilt is brought to life with patches of contrasting colors. The unexpected color combination gives the quilt a bit of a scrappy look, as well.
Hang this beauty on your wall or use it as a table topper. Either way you’ll enjoy its cheerfulness throughout the year.
Notice how the print in the star points is used in strategic spots to establish the predominant colors and tie the quilt together. It almost acts as a neutral allowing the more vivid colors to shine. Yellow also plays an important role in unifying the quilt.
Other predominant colors will be lovely, too. Carefully coordinate fabrics until you have a pleasing combination.
The easy-to-make quilt is 31″ square once completed. Add another border (unpieced with cornerstones?) to increase the size slightly for a baby quilt.
You’ll find the “Star Bright Wall Hanging” pattern in Quilter’s World Summer 2017.
This is a cute little quilt for babies and I love making baby quilts.
