It’s Perfect for Outdoor Barbecuing!

This festive oven mitt is perfect for the summer months. Make a set to brighten your kitchen, or use them outside at the grill.

Choose solid red and white for the stripes and a navy pattern for the cuff area. The white star is easily applied with fusible applique.

The mitt specifies cotton batting. We’d add a layer of Insul-Bright batting for additional heat proofing.

Designed by Barbara Clayton, the finished mitt is 8″ x 11 1/2″.

You’ll find the “July Stars & Stripes Oven Mitt” in A Year of Pot Holders along with designs for every month of the year.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
