Use Up Scraps in Coiled Coasters, Trivets and More
Go As Big As You Want!
Strips of fabric wrapped around cotton clothesline make wonderful coasters, trivets, place mats and more. This easy process can go as big as you want, even as large as a table mat or a small rug.
Lori Baker made lovely coasters in two sizes for gifts, pairing them with mugs, hot chocolate mix and more. Learn more here.

This is actually a bowl from 3 Dogs Design Studio. We love the color.
Nancy Zieman from Nancy’s Notions created an excellent video demonstrating how to make coiled fabric projects. Once you have the process down you can play with it and make projects of various sizes.

You can use scraps cut into strips and cotton clothesline, or the supplies that Nancy suggested. Either will work nicely.
