Vary the Background Color for a Stunning Quilt |
Make a Bed Quilt, Baby Quilt or Table Topper!
Ten inch layer cakes squares make cutting for this quilt a breeze. Select a beautiful combination from your stash. Or, choose a new pack from your favorite fabric collection.
Vivid colors are beautiful against a white or black background. Or, choose a color that complements your layer cake squares. Just be sure to keep enough contrast between the two so that the overall design stands out from the background.
Instructions are also included for a small 32″ square quilt made from 5″ charm squares. In this example, the colors pop against a black background. This size is perfect for a baby quilt or table topper.
The large quilt, from Shannon Mower and Modern Tradition Quilts, is 84″ square.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
