Maple and oak leaves are popular motifs for autumn themed quilts, but just about any patchwork or applique quilt done up in the earthy browns, golds, reds and oranges that you see in fall foliage fit the season. In whatever form autumn quilts take, they tend to evoke “comfort” and provide a cozy feel wherever they are displayed. Here are some great autumn quilt patterns, and they’re all free!
