Dress Up a Bottle of Wine for Giving
Wonderful Gift Wrap for Any Occasion!
Why give a plain bottle of wine when you can dress it up with your own special touch? These wine wraps, found at allpeoplequilt, are super easy to make from festive fabrics and giant rick rack.
These are so quick to make that you can create several in an afternoon. This is a great idea for other occasions, too. Simply choose fabrics to match the season or occasion. You’ll love giving a wrapped gift of wine for house warmings, hostess gifts and just about any time you’re taking a bottle with you.
Exact instructions are not provided but you won’t need them. Cut three strips of fabric that will be 6″ wide once stitched together and of a length that will overlap in the back by a couple of inches (add extra for seam allowances!). Stitch the strips together and embellish with jumbo rick rack as desired.
Sew the pieced front to a backing, right sides together, leaving a gap for turning. Once turned, pressed and sewn closed, add velcro dots or strips for securing the wrap around the bottle. Add batting and bit of machine quilting if you’d like the wrap to help keep the wine cool. Easy, pretty and a great way to dress up a bottle of wine.
