Fabric Pinwheel Ornaments are Super Quick
Make Them Any Size You Want!
These pretty fabric pinwheels are quick projects that will make even Scrooge smile. The whimsical ornaments will be fun on your tree and used as decorative touches on wrapped gifts.
They’re also very easy to make. Fuse two fabric squares together, cut, fold and stitch the points in place. Add a pretty button and a hanging cord and you’re done.
The instructions are for ornaments made from 3″ squares of fabric but make them any size you want. Just start with larger squares of fabric.
A thin wooden dowel or lollipop stick makes the pinwheels even more whimsical. The ornament below is considerably larger and would be fun stuck into the pot of a houseplant.
Pinwheel made with a 9″ square of fabric. Instructions at Bead Happily Ever After.
Kristen, from Kiki Verde, recommends using Steam a Seam 2 Double Stick Fusible Web (get it here) for fusing two fabric squares together. Her tutorial shows you how to fuse and cut several ornaments at a time.
