Vary the Mood of This Quilt by Changing the Colors!

Nine-patch blocks set on point make a sunny quilt that will warm even the chilliest days. Select a wide variety of prints and solids from your stash to give the quilt interest. Scraps are perfect for the blocks.

You can also make it up with pre-cuts and yardage. Design it around a coordinating color combination or give it a scrappy look like this one.

Skip To My Lou Quilt Pattern

We can easily imagine this quilt given other moods. Darker fabrics, more subtle colors, and even big print modern fabrics will all be wonderful in this pattern. Coordinating batiks will be lovely, too.

The quilt is simple to piece together. Just be careful not to stretch the triangle edges cut on the bias.

The pattern, from designer Debra Finan, produces a 66″ x 82 1/2″ quilt. Alter the size by adjusting the number of blocks.
