Coordinate the Colors or Make Yours Scrappy!
Fabric squares are offset for an unexpected detail in this charming patchwork pillow. The pretty piecing is finished beautifully with big stitch hand quilting (although you can machine quilt with a contrasting thread for a similar look).
Select 2 1/2″ mini charm squares from a pretty fabric line or choose scraps from your stash for a scrappy look. You can also coordinate around a particular color theme and emphasize the offset patches.
The pillow top is easy to make and stitches together in a breeze. Layer it up, quilt it and add the envelope style pillow back. Finish it off with binding for the perfect accent.
The instructions, from Corey Yoder, produce an 18″ x 18″ pillow.
