Protect Small Scissors with a Heart Fob
A Wonderful Gift for Quilting and Sewing Friends!
A pretty pieced heart with a pocket on the back makes a lovely scissor fob. Attach a pair of small scissors using the ribbon loop, store the scissors in the pocket, and you’re good to go. There’s even room for a spool of thread and needles for hand sewing.
Select a combination of beautiful fabrics from your scrap bag and matching ribbon. The easy piecing means you’ll have this together before you know it. Layer up the heart and do some quick straight-line quilting.
Add the pocket and finish it off with a bias binding, perfect for going around the heart’s curves. If you haven’t done one before, it’s a simple process that can be used for many projects with uneven edges. This is a good project to learn on.
The finished fob, designed by Kristine at Poorhouse Quilt Designs, is 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.
