Patchwork Plus Applique is a Winning Combination!
There’s something extra charming about quilts that combine patchwork with applique. The combination of straight line piecing and curves often produces very memorable quilts.
The “Idaho Lily” quilt by Kim Diehl is no exception. It makes the most of both techniques to produce a beautiful quilt that will look like it took far longer to make than it did.

If you’ve not tried applique before, this is a good quilt to expand your skills on. The only applique pieces are the leaves and stems. The pattern suggests glue basting and machine stitching, but use whatever technique you prefer.
The “Idaho Lily” quilt measures 27.5″ x 27.5″. It will look great on your wall or table!
