Rich autumn colors are simply stunning in this traditional Log Cabin quilt. This colorful combination of colors, as well as playful prints, give the quilt a decidedly modern and festive feel.
Alter the color combination to suit your tastes. Give yours a Halloween feel by mixing in vivid orange and purple, as shown here, or choose colors for a quilt to use all autumn (and all year) long.
Traditional Log Cabin blocks are simple to make. Arrange the finished blocks as in the sample quilt, or create your own overall design by placing blocks differently.
The finished quilt, designed by Lila Taylor Scott, is 50 1⁄2 ” × 64 1⁄2″.
