Accurately Trim Oversized Blocks with This Easy Tip

| May 22, 2018 | Quilting How-To
Perfect for When Your Ruler Isn’t Large Enough!
Oversized blocks are popular for many reasons but they can present challenges when it’s time to square and trim them. Often commonly sized rulers aren’t large enough.
Two rulers can be used but that complicates the process and increases the chance of error. Instead, try this handy method.
In the following video Nancy Roelfsema shows how to use a square of freezer paper to trim blocks. It’s quick, easy and will help you create perfectly square blocks every time.
We love how she folds the paper for cutting to the correct size, then uses the fold marks to center the paper on the block. Genius!
