Dress Up a T-Shirt with Pretty Fabric

Choose Your Favorite Colors for a One-of-a-Kind Shirt!
Choose scraps of your prettiest fabrics to dress up the neckline of a plain t-shirt. A row of colorful scallops in your favorite colors is a lovely touch that will make a plain shirt something special.
Keep in mind that this works best on a shirt with a V or scooped neckline that you can pull over your head without much stretching. The fabric scallops are applied with fusible applique using Heat N Bond Lite and stitched into place, making the neckline less stretchy than it originally was.
While the shirt shown in the example is white, this treatment will be lovely on a shirt of any color. Simply choose fabric scraps that work nicely with it.
This clever idea comes from Melissa at Polka Dot Chair.
