Create a Handy Pouch from Old Jeans

Make One for Yourself and Another to Give!

Repurpose old jeans into an attractive and handy pouch. The pouch is generously sized for holding all sorts of things. Use it for quilting supplies and tools, take-along projects, or even as a clutch bag for casual days out.

This is a great project for jean scraps leftover from other projects. Choose a variety of denims and even throw in a chambray or two for added interest.

Dotti Denim Pouch Pattern

Topstitching is a lovely finishing touch for the simple piecing. While a zipper is involved, it’s easy to install. You’ll love how quickly the pouch sews together.

The finished pouch, from Just Jude Designs, is 12” w x 8 1/2” h.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
