One Hour Basket Sews Up in a Snap
The Perfect Size for Storing Fat Quarters!
This simple basket is a great storage solution around the home. Choose fabrics you love or that match a room’s decor and in no time you’ll have handy baskets to contain some of that clutter.
The basket is perfectly sized for fat quarters, and would look great on a shelf in your sewing room. Make several and use them for scraps, yarn, patterns … just about anything you need to organize.
They’re also great for gifts. Fill a basket with a combo of items the recipient will love. Think baby items for a mom-to-be, coffee samples and such for a coffee lover, and so on. They’d also make charming Easter baskets.
If you can sew a straight seam you can make these super simple baskets by designer Hearts and Bees.
And, yes. You really can finish a basket in an hour.
The basket is so popular that you’ll find many creative examples for customizing it. Many quilters piece the body of the basket or add a block on the side to dress it up. Of course, it will take longer to make but in the end you’ll have a wonderful basket that is uniquely yours.
