Choose Between Two Finishes for a Sweet Baby Quilt
May 23, 2019 | Quilts for Babies and Kids
| A Great Project for Leftovers and Scraps!
This charming baby quilt can be finished two different ways. Choose between a ruffled edge or prairie points. Both are so sweet and will delight new parents.
Pink and blue were used in the examples but choose whatever colors the parents will enjoy most. Either version will be fun in bolder prints so let your imagination play with the design.
Start with 5″ charm squares, either from a new charm pack or from leftovers in your stash. Coordinate the remaining fabrics from there.
Simple four-patch blocks are set on point. Sashing and borders do the rest. You’ll love how quickly these quilts go together.
The finished quilts are 28″ x 36″.
You’ll find the “Baby Charmers” quilt patterns, designed by Julie Higgins, in Keepsake Baby Quilts from Scraps.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
