Or Use Scraps in Any Color Combo!

These colorful fish are cute, cuddly and fun to include with the gift of a matching quilt. Use scraps from the quilt, or coordinating fabrics, for an extra special gift for kids of all ages.

Of course you don’t need to match them to a quilt. They’ll be fun to receive on their own. Pick out a colorful combination of fabrics and enjoy this fun project.

Little Fishy Pattern and Tutorial

The pattern, as written, includes plastic pellets in the scales and button eyes. For babies, use fiberfill instead of pellets and fusible applique for the eyes.

Once completed, each fish is about 7 1/2″ long. The pattern pieces for the tutorial from The Latest From Lauri come in the form of a photo (jpg). Be sure to print it at 100% and in the horizontal orientation. We had to save it to our computer first in order for it to print at the right size but you may have different results from your device.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
