Handy Bag is an Attractive Catch-All Solution
Make Several, With or Without a Pocket on the Front!
Do you ever find yourself setting things on the stairs, or next to a closed door, thinking you’ll put them away the next time you go there?
This handy catch-all bag is a great solution, as you can hang it over a doorknob to collect all that stuff that you don’t want to put away right now.
It’s also nice for small rooms, like bathrooms, that need a little extra storage space. One (or more can!) be hung on a hook affixed to a wall.
This version, from Saidos da Concha, is adapted from the “Kidlet” pattern from J C Handmade.
She made a patchwork front for the bag from fabric scraps, and omitted the front pocket.
An orphan quilt block would be lovely, too, especially when giving this as a gift.
The original bag, designed by Jennifer Casa of Make Something Special, was created to help kids corral their stuff. There’s a large pocket on the front for additional storage.
Kids and Moms aren’t the only ones who will find this bag handy for reducing clutter! You’re sure to find a number of ways to put this bag to good use.
The finished bag is about 9″ x 9″ x 3″, making it useful for a number of locations around your home. The wide gusset means it can collect a lot of things before you’ll need to empty it.
