Bolder Prints Will be Wonderful, Too!

Soft prints create an inviting quilt you’ll be happy to call your own. Ohio Star blocks alternate with a second block to create a chain effect in this delightful traditional quilt.

Other colors will be just as lovely so play with fabrics until you find a combination you love. While we admire the soft small-scale prints chosen by the designer, other fabrics styles will be just as nice.

For example, imagine how stunning this will be in batiks. Retro 30s prints will be pretty and sweet, or go ahead and use scraps for a wonderful interpretation.

The finished quilt, designed by Maria Umhey, is 67 1/2″ x 67 1/2″. It’s easy to adjust the size by adding or deleting blocks.

You’ll find the “Sugar & Spice” quilt pattern in Quilter’s World Spring 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
