These Baskets Are Cute As Can Be

Perfect for Easter, Bridal Showers, New Babies and More!

These adorable baskets come in two versions. While they’ll appeal to kids, and make charming Easter baskets, many adults will love them too.

The scallop version is for girls (even big ones!) but can be for boys too depending on the fabrics you choose and the age of the recipient. The bow tie basket was designed for boys but many girls will like it too.

While they’re perfect for Easter, they can be used and given for many different occasions. Make up a black and white bow tie basket and white with lace scallop basket for the bride and groom. Give either version for housewarmings, bridal showers, or new moms. Simply choose fabrics to suit the occasion and the recipient.

For even more options, leave the handles off and use them for display.

The patterns, from Sunday Girl, are clearly explained so you shouldn’t have any trouble stitching them up.

Scallop Fabric Easter Basket

Make this basket in several fabrics as shown, or use one great fabric. Leave off the trim for a basket that is a bit more plain but still quite lovely. There are a lot of possibilities for this charmingly shaped basket. You’re sure to find yourself making several, and not just for Easter.

Scallop Fabric Basket

This basket measures 6″ in diameter and is about 6″ tall. It is pieced together and has decorative top stitching, scallop edge with rickrack and button trims. It is nicely padded.
