Turn Skinny Strips Into Charming Pot Holders

They’re Great for Scraps!
Turn string-pieced squares into charming pot holders with this easy project. Hand-stitching and pretty buttons are lovely finishing touches.
Start with skinny strips from your scrap bag and use a string-piecing technique (instructions found here). However, instead of using paper or fabric for the foundation, use batting for a quicker finish.
We played a bit in Photoshop to show how the potholder could look in other colors. It will be delightful in whatever color combination you choose.
Add a layer of Insul-Bright batting, a hanging loop, and a pretty button (like these flower buttons or cute polka dot buttons.)
The finished hot pads, designed by Alli from Woodberry Way, are about 8.5″ square.
