This Beautiful Quilt is Great for Beginners
Make the Quilt as Large as You Want!
This beautiful quilt was designed to showcase gorgeous Liberty of London prints. However, it will be just as wonderful made up with a combination of prints from other fabric lines.
It’s an easy quilt to make and a great project for beginners. One easy block, the Double Four Patch block, is repeated to create the overall design.
Since the quilt is meant to look scrappy, instructions are provided for the block instead of the entire quilt. Simply make as many blocks as you need for a quilt of the size you want and make each block different to give the quilt a nice scrappy look.
The quilt pictured here, designed by Julia from Bayhill Studio, is approximately 63 1/2” x 73” – the perfect size for a large throw. The finished blocks measure 10” square and the quilt has 6 blocks across and 7 blocks down, with a 3” finished border.
