“Also supporting the vintage vibe is all the feather quilting. Feather wreaths in each of the setting squares and half-wreaths in the setting triangles. A bold feather with straight line quilting in the oversized border and small feather flowers in the open block squares.”

More modern quilting designs will be wonderful too while giving the quilt a more updated look. Regardless of the design you choose, whether you hand or machine-quilt this beauty yourself or send it out to be quilted, you’re sure to love the results.
Also, consider making it in any two-color combination. For example, navy and white or red and white will be stunning while light blue and white will be soft and lovely.
More modern prints are also great in the quilt. This smaller version made from fewer blocks has narrower borders and puts the emphasis on the blocks instead of the quilting.
