Celebrate a new baby with this charming play mat. It’s perfect for tummy time, naps, and is easy to take in the car.
Plus, it’s a quick project and great for using some of those goodies in your stash. The half-square triangles start with 7″ squares so you may even have scraps that will combine into a pleasing design. The wide binding is a great finishing touch.
This also works as a beautiful table topper. Give the mat a more sophisticated look with the strategic placement of lights and darks in colors you love. We played in Photoshop a bit to help you imagine how that might look.
Designed by Ali Phillips from Arabesque Scissors, the completed mat is 36″ across.
