Play with Color for a Striking Classic Quilt
Rich Colors Update the Look!
This classic quilt is simple to make with updated construction techniques. Fortunately, there’s no need to cut and sew together lots of little squares.
Instead, focus on choosing a pretty color palette and then watch how quickly the quilt goes together. Rich colors and strong contrasts between light and dark make a striking design. Or soften the look by reducing the contrast.
Twin Quilt.
While we love just about any color theme against white, the quilt will be wonderful with other colors in the background. This is a fun design to play with and with several size choices, you may find yourself making more than one.
Lap Quilt.
Baby Quilt or Table Topper.
Table Runner.
The quilt’s designer, Becky Cable, provides patterns for several sizes. Choose between the Twin (or throw), the lap quilt, a baby quilt (or table topper), or a runner.
- Twin Quilt – 60” x 84”
- Lap Quilt – 42” x 54”
- Baby Quilt – about 35” square (or table topper)
- Table Runner – 15″ x 35″
You’ll find all of the patterns at the following link. Or choose the pattern bundle that includes them all.
