One block from a larger quilt was used to make this gorgeous pillow. The star within a bloom block is perfect for spring and summer and will be lovely in your favorite colors.
The pillow top is also charming finished as a small quilt. Either one will be a pretty addition to your decor.
Melanie from A Bit of Scrap Stuff added a border to the block, which made the pillow and mini quilt 18″square. Learn more about them both here. You’ll find instructions for making pillow covers here and here.
The quilt itself is also lovely. Notice how when sashing and cornerstones are added between the blocks the leaves create a striking circular secondary design. We’d love to see the quilt made up in 1930s reproduction prints or other small-scale fabrics, as that would make the flowers pop.
