Replace Broken Window Glass with DIY Barn Quilts
Great Instructions for Painting Your Own Barn Quilts!
Do you have a door in a garage or outbuilding with a broken pane of glass, or two? When both windows broke on an old garage door Christine from The DIY Dreamer replaced them with barn quilts. The result is so eye-catching and charming.
We love that this idea can be used for windows too, and not just doors. Or dress up an outside wall with your own DIY barn quilt. You’ll find other ideas for displaying them both inside and out here.
While the barn quilts look great with Christine’s shabby chic door, they’ll be just as nice on newer doors or hung just about anywhere.
This idea can also work with doors that have large flat panels instead of glass. In that case, you may need to paint the barn quilts directly on the door.
Christine provides excellent instructions for painting barn quilts. To make your own, for whatever use, choose a quilt block and paint colors you love, and follow her directions in the following article.
