Square Up Blocks with Rulers You Already Have!
Once your quilt blocks are made it’s important to square them up. That ensures they are the same size, have nice straight edges, and fit together nicely.
There are many ways to square up blocks but this primer from Carolina Moore demonstrates three popular methods. She also covers two good-to-know hacks for blocks that aren’t quite the correct size.
You can use rulers you already have to square up blocks. However, if you have a lot of blocks of one size a square ruler of the same size will be the fastest way to do them. A rotating cutting mat will also speed up the process.
