It Will be Beautiful in Fabric You Love!

This beautifully designed bag is the perfect carry-all for quilters and other makers. It’s designed to keep everything you need close at hand and nicely organized.

Based on the classic doctor’s bag, the deep body can accommodate a lot. Plus the zippered back pocket, optional top zipper closure, and interior pockets are designed to keep everything secure.

The bag is very attractive, too, and one you’ll be happy to own. Choose between two sizes and feature fabrics you love.

Fusible Woven Interfacing (20″ wide, 1 1/2 yards), Fusible Mid-weight Interfacing (44″ wide, 1 yard), and ByAnnie’s Soft and Stable (or Pellon FlexFoam – 20″ wide, 1 yard) give the bag a crisp look and allow it to retain its shape.

Here are just a few of the many examples we found.

This project is probably not for beginning quilters or sewists. You’ll want to be confident sewing bias bindings and previous bag-making experience will be helpful. However, there is a tips and tricks video available to help you get the best results.

Instructions are provided by Anna from Noodlehead for the following bag sizes:

  • Large – 16” W x 13” H x 7 ½” Deep
  • Small – 12” W x 10” H x 6” Deep

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
