Make One or a Whole Set!
Bright, bold, and beautiful. These festive placemats are perfect for summer BBQs, dressing your table for the 4th of July, and even for super-hero-themed parties.
They can also be used as trivets, snack mats, and centerpieces. Regardless of how you put them to use, they will surely be noticed and admired.
Bright and bold colors will really pop on your table. Or select more subdued shades for an Americana vibe. They’ll also be striking in Halloween orange, tan, and black or red, white, and green for Christmas.
We played a bit in Photoshop to show you how they could look made up in deeper colors.
The completed placemats, designed by Lisa Cox from A Spoonful of Sugar, are 11 ½ inches across from one point to the opposite point. Each side measures 5 3/4 inches.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
