Homespun Ornaments are Perfect for Farmhouse Decor!

These adorable ornaments are simple to make and go together quickly. You can make one design or all six for yourself and to give.

Homespun fabrics give them an endearing rustic look. Jute, buttons, and big hand-stitching are charming accents.

As the designer, Jubilee Creative Studio suggests they can be used in many ways:

* Tie one onto the top of a rustic Christmas gift wrapped in basic kraft paper
* Put a pin on the back and wear it as a holiday coat pin
* Use mini wood clothes pins to attach them to a jute string and hang them as a banner
* Arrange them in a wicker basket and set them on your kitchen counter
* Place them as elements of a rustic style Christmas wreath

And, of course, they’ll be charming on the tree.

Each ornament starts with two 5″ squares of fabric. You’ll find nice selections of charm packs with 5″ squares of popular homespun fabrics here and here.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
