Even Non-Quilters Love This Beautiful Christmas Romance!

Are you ready for a break from Christmas projects, or have some handwork to complete? Quilting takes center stage in this delightful Christmas movie, and while some of the quilt-making details aren’t exactly right the film is engaging, interesting, and well worth watching (it has 1,400,000+ views!). It’s sure to leave you in a cheerful Christmas mood.

A quilt artist and a firefighter team up at the last minute to make a quilt for his sister’s Christmas wedding. The characters are realistic, personal challenges are overcome, the romance is light, and it’s fun that quilting is essentially the main character.

"The Fabric of Christmas" Movie

Our favorite quote is the firefighter’s comment at the fabric store as they’re picking out fabric for his sister’s quilt:

“I’ve never met anyone so passionate about fabric before.”

Does that sound like anyone you know? (Just nearly every quilter we’ve ever met!)

Sadly, the movie is interrupted by ads, but you can click to skip them within a few seconds. Be sure to click on the broken-lines box in the lower right corner to view the movie in full screen.

Merry Christmas!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
