Create a Striking Log Cabin Quilt with Vibrant Colors

Go Scrappy or Select a Controlled Color Palette!
Vibrant colors bring this classic Log Cabin quilt to life. At first glance, the darks seem like solid black, but upon closer inspection, you’ll discover that a variety of deep colors were used to add movement and interest to the quilt.
This is a great project for scraps as the design lends itself to a scrappy color combination. Or go with a more controlled one like that used in the example.
Tried and true techniques make this a relatively simple project, although it’s probably best for intermediate quilters with solid cutting and piecing skills.
The completed quilt designed by Sherri Bain Driver is 79″ x 97″.
