A More Coordinated Color Palette is Beautiful Too!
A patterned background sets this scrappy quilt apart, adding to its cheerful personality. Of course, you can use more traditional white or another solid color, or try low-volume prints to enhance the scrappy look.
This is a great project for shopping your stash. Choose a wide variety of prints for a scrappy, endearing look. A more coordinated color theme will also be beautiful.
The stars are made from half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, and squares-in-squares. New quilters will find it’s a great project for expanding their skills and mastering the construction of those basic units.
Designer Caitlin from Cait Lisle Designs provides instructions for the following:
- Throw – 60″ x 60″
- Queen – 90″ x 90″
- Throw Pillow – 17″ x 17″ (made from one square)
