Sew Up a Brilliant Rainbow for a Baby Quilt

| July 27, 2025 | Quilts for Babies and Kids
It’s an Easy and Quick Project Even for Beginners!
A brilliant rainbow of colors creates a beautiful quilt for a lucky baby. It’s so easy to make and can be finished in a day (or two).
Start with 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips or cut your own. White squares create movement around the quilt. Solid fabrics make a big impact, but the quilt will be just as beautiful in small-scale prints.
While it was designed as a baby quilt, you can easily enlarge it by increasing the number of columns or by using longer strips of fabric to extend the length.
The completed quilt designed by Zieak Pepper is 35″ x 42″.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
