It’s Beautiful in Any Color Theme!
Showcase a pretty combination of layer cake squares in this charming quilt. It’s a simple project that’s beautiful in any color theme.
Select 10″ squares from a favorite layer cake, choose leftovers in your stash, or cut your own squares from fat quarters or yardage. Add a black for the star points and a neutral for the background.
The quilt is simple to construct, but you will need to make several Flying Geese units. Use the technique of your choice or try the trimming tool the designer used for the project (Creative Grids Ultimate Flying Geese Tool).
Designer Corey Yoder from Coriander Quilts provides a video that shows how the quilt goes together and how to use the tool. The completed quilt is 52″ x 64″.
