The Potholders Also Make Festive Gifts!

These festive potholders will be a fun addition to your holiday kitchen. The pockets on the fronts allow them to work as oven mitts as well as flat potholders. Santa’s belt and buckle make them perfect for Christmas baking and other kitchen projects.

They also make wonderful gifts. The pocket is large enough for a cookie mix and a wooden spoon. Included with the pattern are printable “Baking Spirits Bright” gift tags to further dress them up.

Foundation paper piecing is used to construct the pocket fronts, which are quite simple to make (or translate the instructions to standard piecing – add 1/4″ seams). You’ll find excellent FPP instructions here

The finished dimensions are not provided, but you can see from the photo that they’re nicely sized. Mariesa Morgan from Ten Cow Quilts is the pattern designer.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
