It’s a Sweet Memory Bear, Too!

Create a charming patchwork bear to commemorate people and events, or just because. Use old clothing for a keepsake bear, leftover fabrics from a special quilt, or new fabric to make a cuddly bear that is sure to be cherished.

A charming memory bear can be made from a child’s clothing for a keepsake toy or to commemorate a baby’s first year. Leftover wedding gown fabric will be a treasured memento for the bride. Or use a loved one’s clothing for a special memory bear.

The bear is easy to make because it doesn’t have movable joints (it will always be sitting, and its arms don’t move). You can use just about any type of fabric. Plus, you can hand or machine embroider names and dates on the soles of the feet or the chest. It can also be embellished with lace, buttons, patches, and more.
