The Block Can Be Used In Many Types of Projects!

The pose of this beautiful cardinal almost makes this quilt block seem like a real bird at first glance. Fortunately for us, it’s a stunning rendition created in fabric.

Showcase the cardinal block by adding borders and finishing it as a small quilt. Or add multiple borders to enlarge it into a wall hanging. The block can be used in many other projects as well.

Foundation paper piecing is used to construct the block. You’ll find excellent FPP instructions here

Designer Brooke Husgen from Lover of Life Designs provides instructions for a 12″ finished block. You can alter the block’s size by changing the % when printing the templates (for example, double the size by printing at 200%).

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
