It’s Oversized for Easy Construction!

This beautiful Log Cabin quilt block features an Ohio Star (or Sawtooth Star) in the center. It’s oversized, so it will be delightful finished off into a small table or wall quilt.

It will also be wonderful on the front of a tote bag, made into a pillow cover, or combined with others for a table runner. You can also make several for a quilt of any size.

Any Log Cabin quilt layout will be beautiful when made with this block. Plus, since the block is large, you’ll need to make fewer of them to create a large quilt.

Choose any color palette for your project. Scraps will also work nicely in the block.

Designer Elaine Huff from Fabric 406 provides instructions for a 15″ finished block with a 6″ star at the center.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article).
