Make an Attractive and Functional Bag from Selvages

Thin Scraps or 5″ Squares Work Too!
Turn your favorite selvages into this charming bag that’s as functional as it is attractive. It’s nicely sized to hold a lot, has an interior pocket, and closes with a button and loop.
Easy piecing is used to create the scrappy blocks. Thin strips of fabric can be used instead of selvages, or for a quicker finish, use 5″ squares.
The bag is simple to construct, even for those new to bag-making. Use byAnnies Soft and Stable instead of batting to make it flexible yet firm enough to hold its shape.
Designer Jodi Nelson from Pleasant Home provides instructions for a bag that is about 12″ x 17″.
