A Beautiful and Easy Quilt to Stitch Up Quickly
Have Fun Playing with Fabrics for This Great Quilt!
Simple blocks stitched up in large scale prints make a stunning quilt. The fabrics, some bright and some muted, are carefully placed so your eye moves around the quilt. Best of all, this is a super quick project for when you need a quilt in a hurry.
The design, by Jessica Kelly of Sew Crafty Jess, is made entirely from the “Starburst Cross” block. There aren’t even any borders to add once the piecing is done, unless, of course, you want to.
The easy block is made with modified squares. Both beginning (with stitching and cutting skills) and experienced quilters will enjoy how easy this is to make.
This is also a fun quilt to play with while selecting fabrics. We love the colors Jessica used (wouldn’t this be lovely for fall?) and also can imagine it given an entirely different look. Small scale prints, reproduction prints, batiks and even solids will be stunning in this pattern.

Jessica’s second quilt is just as lovely and shows you how another collection of colors work in the quilt.
The finished block is 12″. Make as many as you need to produce the quilt size you want. Simply line the blocks up in rows and columns and stitch them all together. Layer, quilt and bind.
You’ll find instructions for the 48″ x 60″ quilt here.
