This Pretty Pattern Will Be Wonderful in Your Favorite Colors!

This gorgeous quilt uses simple blocks to create a stunning medallion. Careful placement of color and value allows the design to emerge from easy 9-patch blocks.

Good value contrast between lights and darks will allow you to recreate the striking design in fabrics you love. Select closely coordinated colors, as in the quilt shown here, or mix it up for variety.

As long as fabrics close in value are chosen for the light, dark and very dark pieces you’ll have a stunning quilt when you’re done. Finish it off with beautiful fabrics for the borders.

The pattern, designed by Maria Umhey, is for an 81 1/2˝ x 81 1/2˝ queen sized quilt.
