Crayon colors make a big impact in this cheerful quilt. Batik fabrics add interest while letting the colors take center stage. Other low-contrast prints will achieve a similar effect.
We can imagine this quilt made up in coordinated colors, as well as in small to medium scale prints. It will have an entirely different look but will be just as lovely. It will be gorgeous as a scrappy quilt, too.
The pattern is designed for layer cakes (10″ squares). Instructions are included for working from yardage, too.
Five quilt sizes are included:
Crib – 45” x 62”
Throw – 63” x 80”
Twin – 79” x 96”
Queen – 96” x 113”
King – 113” x 113”
The designer, Little Louise Quilts, has included instructions for a second quilt called “Leftover Lasagna” that can be made from the leftover fabric.
Both quilts are easy enough for beginning quilters with solid quilting and stitching skills, and will sew up relatively quickly.
