While this quilt was inspired by an antique pattern, construction has been updated to make it easy to complete. The scrappy look just adds to the appeal of this refreshing take on an old classic.
Select scraps from your stash and a beautiful print for the border. Or, make it up in a coordinated color combination. Either way you’ll have a gorgeous quilt once you’re done.
Designer Natalie Earnheart chose prints with a bit of periwinkle for each star to tie the top together with the border. The result is a lovely quilt with an old-fashioned feel.
Modern vividly-colored prints would also be stunning in this quilt. It would take on an entirely different look and feel while being just as appealing.
The finished quilt is 86″ x 98″.
