Mix Your Favorite Color with White, or Black!

Red and white quilts have long been favorites among quilters and non-quilters alike. There are many beautiful examples to enjoy that were made up in traditional patterns. This one has a decidedly modern look that will fit in just about anywhere.

We love the fun fabrics used by the designer to give the quilt a lighthearted feel. However, it will be just as stunning in other fabric styles and even in other colors. It’s easy to imagine it made up in another color and white, or even with black or gray instead of white.

You can cut the wedges from a template or use an EZ Dresden Ruler to speed the process. Once the wedges are cut the top will come together fairly quickly. Just be careful not to stretch the bias edges.

The finished quilt, from Sweetwater, is 60 1/4″ x 64″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
