Autumn Themed Table Topper is Super Easy

Dig Into Your Scraps to Make This Extra Easy Quilt!

The two border fabrics tie everything together in this patchwork quilt. Consequently, it doesn’t look like a scrap quilt – although it could with different border fabrics (think about white where the tan border is).

It’s easy to change the overall look and feel simply by changing the colors of the borders. We can easily imagine this quilt sewn with Christmas fabrics, or any fabric combo that fits the season or your decor.

Surrounding the Bear Table Topper Pattern

This quilt is made up of strips and squares of fabric, with a few half square triangles to give it interest. Time-saving tips for making half square triangles can be found here.

The finished size is 36″ x 36″. While it’s perfect for a table topper, it also would look great on a wall!

You’ll find the “Surrounding the Bear” quilt pattern in the Autumn 2013 issue of Quilter’s World.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
