Play with Fabric to Make It Your Own!

A beautiful combination of colors and print styles creates an eye-catching quilt that celebrates fall. High-contrast prints give the quilt texture and move the eye around the design.

More traditional coloring and lower-contrast prints are just as beautiful. It will be fun selecting fabrics for your special version.

Start by choosing a layer cake of 10″ squares or a jelly roll of 2 1/12″ strips plus 5″ charm squares. Set them off with background yardage.

Two alternating blocks create the appealing design. While it looks complex, simple units make the quilt doable by most quilters. You can achieve beautiful results if you can cut accurately and consistently sew 1/4″ seams.

Designed by Lavonne Jackson from Sew N Quilt Shop, the completed quilt is approximately 75″ x 75″. Another row could easily be added to increase the size to 75″ x 90″

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
